Touring Scotland

Whether you are looking for a peaceful break in the Highlands or a quiet time by a deserted beach, maybe you want a winter break skiing or snowboarding. Possibly you are coming back to your roots or you just want to tour Scotland and meet the many friendly people and characters.

Possibly you want to savour a dram in a pub full of locals or at the many distilleries with guided tours and visitor centres, Glen Moray is on our doorstep as is Elgin Museum, Johnstons cashmere visitor centre and Baxters of Speyside.

Maybe mountain biking is your scene so head for the many  woodland tracks.  Go pony trekking.  For peace and tranquillity head for the west coast and the islands for breathtaking scenery, passing Culloden battlefield and Inverness on the way. Head down Loch Ness and hunt for the monster. Go hill walking and bag A Munro.

For a more exciting holiday you could have family fun enjoying many of the attractions at the Landmark centre, sail the Moray Firth spotting dolphins, whales and seals with Sailingwild, go on a trip on the Cairngorm Mountain Railway and enjoy the scenery or go wild and meet the wolves at the Highland Wildlife Park.  If watersports is your thing you can take the chance to go to Lochinsh Watersports, canoeing & windsurfing or maybe go osprey spotting at Boat of Garten.See working sheepdogs at Kincraig, visit Blair Castle, Scone palace - crowning place of Scottish Kings. Further afield you could tour the attractions of Stirling steeped in history such as the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle.  A short drive from Stirling takes you to Falkirk with the modern attraction of the Falkirk Wheel.  Continue onto Edinburgh and its many attractions, come back via the east coast visiting St. Andrews - Home of Golf, Dundee -City of Discovery on the way. Alternatively head west from Stirling and visit Loch Lomond.

Closer to Moray, Banff & Buchan has many attractions including the Marine Aquarium at Macduff, many lovely beaches, country parks and more friendly folk.
